Iomart plc Aquires RapidSwitch Ltd.

G A Associates is pleased to announce that it advised Iomart plc on its acquisition of all the shares in RapidSwitch Ltd..

G A Associates is pleased to announce that it advised Iomart plc on its acquisition of all the shares in RapidSwitch Ltd..

The deal was completed on 12th May 2009 for the total consideration of £5,250,000.

Acting under a buyer’s mandate from Iomart plc, John Perkins of G A Associates introduced RapidSwitch to Iomart and led the negotiations through to completion.
Iomart plc has offices in Glasgow and datacentres in Glasgow, Nottingham, Leicester, London and now Maidenhead.

From a single server through to private clouds, Iomart specialises in the delivery and management of mission critical hosting services.

RapidSwitch was founded in 1999 and has its own office and datacentres in Maidenhead, where it hosts over 4,000 servers for a wide range of clients, providing dedicated and co-location services.



Timico Ltd. Aquires Newnet plc

G A Associates is pleased to announce that it advised Timico Ltd. on the acquisition of all the shares in Newnet plc.

The deal was completed on 29th January 2010 for the total consideration of £3,500,000.

Acting under a buyer’s mandate from Timico Ltd., John Perkins of G A Associates introduced Newnet to Timico and led the negotiations through to completion.

Timico Ltd. was ranked 7th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 2009. and has its own purpose built office block in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Timico is a Business Internet Service Provider, offering next generation Internet and Communication services to the U.K. Business Community.

The acquisition of Newnet plc will bolster Timico’s own IP services offering, adding further technical expertise and network infrastructure.

Newnet plc is based in Fareham, Hampshire and has an extensive product portfolio of award winning services that includes bespoke fibre optic networks, LLU services and extensive datacentre hosting solutions.



Timico acquires Twang.net

GA Associates is pleased to announce that it advised on the acquisition of all the shares in Twang.Net Ltd. by Timico Ltd. The deal was completed on 1st April 2008 for a potential £2.8 million.

Acting under a buyer's mandate from Timico Ltd., John Perkins of GA Associates led the negotiations through to completion.

Timico Ltd. has its head office in a new custom built building in Newark and is a leading independent provider of converged communications services to the U.K. business market. The company offers a portfolio of services that include: fixed line, mobile and Internet voice and data services.

Twang.net based in Newbury, is a U.K. specialist provider of integrated communications services for fully managed homeworker solutions to some of the largest FTSE 100 companies, as well as providing Internet services to the SME market.

Last year John Perkins also led the negotiations to completion when Timico Ltd. acquired all the shares in KeConnect Ltd. of Ipswich.



GA working with new web technology

As the global economy tightens, GA is investigating several new web based technologies to improve a company’s efficiency and productivity.
